Devante thats your real name?
write the equation for the line that passes through the point (2,4) and is parallel to the line
y = 2x + 5
now this problem that i found on net is almost as same as my problem . can i do the same way that they did for this problem. not teh same way but still.
Find an equation of the line that passes through the point (-2 , 3) and is parallel to the line 4x + 4y = 8
Let m1 be the slope of the line whose equation is to be found and m2 the slope of the given line. Rewrite the given equation in slope intercept form and find its slope.
4y = -4x + 8
Divide both sides by 4
y = -x + 2
slope m2 = -1.
Two lines are parallel if and only if they have equal slopes
m1 = m2 = -1
We now use the point slope form to find the equation of the line with slope m1.
y - 3 = -1(x - (-2))
which may be written as
y = -x + 1
ok so ........
6! / 2! equals
720 / 2 which equals 360
and
6! / 5! equals
720 / 120 which equals 6
and they say find teh difference
then teh difference is 360 subtract 6 which then we have 354 .
no more posts.huh! well i see many people are posting everyday, dont you see that?
hey Ganitham
welcome to forum. hope u have fun and get the help you want form here.
see ya
ok who has a good joke...anyone?
oh yeah offcourse
why didnt i get that. thanks
umm didnt get the joke...wasnt funny
umm thanks
i guess they are asking for that....
standard form is > x^2 + y^2 = r^2
so i think
it has to be
(x - 3)^2 + (y - 2)^2 = 5^2
and
x^2 + y^2 - 8 = 0 is equal to general form.
THANKS = )
hey guys i have the same problem as NEHA.
now by seeing how you did it ploygon i have done this
X
---------
X + X
------
C + X
----
B
I did :
x
-----------
x + x
-------
b + x
-------
b
then
x
---------
x + xb
-------
b + x
then
x
---------------
x(b + x) + xb
----------------
b + x
then
x(b + x)
---------------
x(b + x) + xb
then
xb + xx
---------------
xb + xx + xb
AM I RIGHT?/
Greeg ran m miles in h hours
then he ran r miles in z hours
if he maintained his overall average rate , how long would it take him to run 20 miles?
this doesnt make sense......they didnt give any info.. m miles r miles .... how can you fin dout the hours if u dotn even know the hours and miles of the other times he ran? if they didnt even give any numbers? :/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/:/
Find the equation of teh circle whose center is at (3,2)
and whose radius is 5.
the answer has ot be in standard form.
can anyone tell me how to do this
my eid was also great... so had fun with all my family and my cute nephew
sorry WIZ you didnt have a nice eid.. so sad = (
why did the blast happen..any reason..is everyone ok now?
please do explain more

ok like for teh way we did this :
http://www.mathsisfun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4679
cant we do teh same way with this question?
6 law books and 2 math books sit on the library shelf
how many differnet ways can they be arranged if teh two different types of books are kept together?
i say 12
because 2 times 6 equals 12
THANKS for the help
find the equation of the line that is equidistant from the points (3,2) and(-4,-3)
write the equation in slope intercept form.
ok what is equidistant?
mubarik...i think this is what they mostly use
Khair Muhbarik
well h or no h still doesnt matter
how was your eid went well? got eidi ? yah you gave eidi out?
