That sounds right. The only exception (that I can think of) is any constant sequence.

sin(n) would be oscillating, but not periodic.

Maybe he has to simulate if the pickup line works.

No problem. smile

The volume is now easy to compute.

I participated in the competition organized by our country, but that's pretty much it.

Hi Agnishom

Yes.

Hi Shivam

Yeah, bobbym changed it manually.

#634 Re: Coder's Corner » Is Anyone using BASIC Anymore? » 2014-07-27 03:02:27

Because some words contain swear words without being swear words themselves.

#635 Re: Coder's Corner » Is Anyone using BASIC Anymore? » 2014-07-27 02:59:29

He changed it manually.

You cannot regex, because you don't really want the filter to always check the words.

#636 Re: Coder's Corner » Is Anyone using BASIC Anymore? » 2014-07-27 02:42:14

Because the filter doesn't check parts of words.

You got that from this?

Yep.

The first language I learned was Pascal.

Not really.

Agreed. There's a reason no real programmers use Brainmath.

Is it a fourth degree equation?

Yes, it is.

#642 Re: Help Me ! » Square roots » 2014-07-27 01:40:31

Cardano could solve this by hand.

#643 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » Which are you closest to? » 2014-07-27 01:29:49

I think I'm something between the first two.

What about you, bobbym?

#645 Re: Help Me ! » Medians and Altitudes » 2014-07-26 08:27:40

All of the edges of XX'YY' are midsegments of respective triangles made by diagonals of the larger quadrilateral.

#646 Re: Help Me ! » Medians and Altitudes » 2014-07-26 06:02:59

Well, the opposite sides are equal and parallel...

#647 Re: Help Me ! » Medians and Altitudes » 2014-07-26 03:00:12

Haven't checked your new solution yet, but XX'YY' is not an isosceles trapezium, it's a parallelogram. smile

EDIT: Actually, yes, it's both, but calling it a parallelogram is more restrictive. smile

EDIT #2: And, yes, it is also a rectangle smile

#648 Re: Jokes » Math Pick-up Lines » 2014-07-26 01:02:27

It works in Chrome for me, too.

#649 Re: Help Me ! » Medians and Altitudes » 2014-07-26 00:47:49

Hi Bob

How would you use Pythag on YY'Z? It's not a right triangle.
