Re: guess my number54 must be the number. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #27 20120616 12:00:07
Re: guess my numberYes divisble by 9 less than 100,000 Last edited by mathgogocart (20120617 02:32:56) Hey. #28 20120616 19:43:00
Re: guess my numberIs that the answer? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #30 20121217 03:53:57

Yes! Hey. #31 20121217 03:59:30

Re: guess my numberWe need more hints? How about 60. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #35 20121217 10:11:41
Re: guess my numberOK! I see now. 1100 = 99 and it's even divisible by 3. Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional). LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make. #36 20121218 06:47:09
Re: guess my number
OK,Youre right. Hey. #37 20121218 08:02:47
Re: guess my numberHow do you defing divisibility by 6.9? The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment #38 20121218 11:02:07
Re: guess my numberIt is 69? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #39 20121218 11:07:02
Re: guess my numberIt must be less than zero and even... Re: guess my numberIt is the only number divisible by 6.9 In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. Re: guess my numberThere is no number divisible by 6.9. Divisibility is defined on integers only. The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment #42 20121218 11:13:10
Re: guess my numberKaboobly doo! I am only going on what I think he wants. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #43 20121218 16:01:10
Re: guess my numberWhy not define divisibility by: b divides a means a/b is an integer. Then for example (3/5)/(3/10)=2 Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional). LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make. #45 20121224 02:53:23
