Re: What do you think?

The upper bound does not prove that B is right. A solution would prove that B is partially right. Remember he said there was an easy way to get an answer and then from there he could get the smallest answer.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.

Re: What do you think?

Hi bobbym

The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't.

Re: What do you think?

Hi;

Then please phrase things correctly else we can not understand each other. An upper bound implies an interval where an answer lies between. Had you said a solution then we would understand each other.

Also that is not the solution B had in mind.

Re: What do you think?

Hi bobbym

But it is indeed a solution. And I can easily find it out and show it is true.

Re: What do you think?

It is a solution but it did not use use B's method. So it does not yet answer the question.

It answers that B is correct about there being a solution.

Re: What do you think?

This is what B stated and now must back up:

B wrote:

you can find a solution almost by inspection and then using some simple computational moves the smallest one.

Hi bobbym,

New Problem:

Can you find any n quickly and then the smallest one?

Well, you always say it doesn't mattr what the method is as long as it gets the correct answer.

Hi bobbym

The method I used will probably be faster than any other except guessing it correctly immidiately.

I never said guessing was involved. I said almost by inspection. You got 9^1004 -1 that is not the same as 9^502 - 1.
Also you never mentioned what method you used.
