(1) 1/2 = 3/4  or 12/24

(2) 1/3 = 2/4  or 8/24

(3) 2/3 = 16/24 tick

(4) 3/4 = 3/6 or 18/24

(5) 5/12 = NO  tick

(6) 2/6 = 1/3 or 2/4 or 8/24

Making a time plan:



Get a calendar.

Put a big "EXAM TODAY" in the days when you have exams.

Count up how many days from now until then.

Try to set aside some time every day for studying. 

Decide how much time you can spend each day.

Write in how much you actually do at the end of each day.

If it is less than you should have done, make up for it the next day by doing more.  There are bound to be days when you just cannot spend the right amount of time, but try to keep up the average.

Make a list of all the topics you must get good at.

Share out the list amongst the days you have, so you can see that, if you keep to the plan, you will complete the list in time.

Plan also to try past exam papers.  One per week would be good.  If I know what paper you have done and you post your answers here, I can do two things for you:

(i)  tell you roughly what grade you would get if that was the real thing,

(ii) give some help with the bits you got wrong / couldn't do.

If you keep that up, you will gradually see your grade improving, I'm sure.

Good morning Mandy,

I've made 4 cards.  If this is what you want I'll make more.

I've put a picture for the fraction, with the numbers and words.

If you cut out each one and fold it in half and stick it, you'll have the writing on the back.

So you can look at a picture, say what fraction it is, and then turn over to see if you were correct.

Or you can read what fraction is required and draw the picture, then turn over to see if you are correct.

And later, when I've made lots more, you can shuffle up all the cards and then sort them out into piles that are the same.

And I can add decimals and percentages later too.

Let me know if you would like me to make more.

Please put a ruler on your laptop screen and measure how long and wide each card is for you.  Then post back the measurements.  Say cm or inches I don't mind which, but say.

Is it on the new laptop or the old one? I don't remember if you got the new one yet.

If you are on the new one than,I don't know,but I would suggest trying to call someone to see if the cables or whatever are wrongly connected.Hope you get it fixed soon!
