Re: Zoomable Number LineDoes the shiftzoomout work in fullscreen mode for other browswers? igloo myrtilles fourmis #84 20111231 15:48:01
Re: Zoomable Number LineApparently flash disables many keys when in fullscreen mode, including shift. You can still use arrow keys. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #85 20120226 01:40:28
Re: Zoomable Number Linehello math is fun. I was wondering if you could have a tiny box that accepts numbers separated by carriage returns or commas, whatever you decide, so I could paste data from my BASIC programs into the box and the points would become marked on the number line. Also, each time you paste, the color of the dots would change for that group by going around a circle of usable colors. If this is too hard to implement in the given time you have, just put it on the back burner for a few years and I'll still use it if it ever comes to fruition. Thanks a lot. igloo myrtilles fourmis #86 20120226 12:07:08

Re: Zoomable Number LineI have something to look at: Zoomable Number Line. Couldn't work out the different color thing, so made them all blue. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #88 20120227 11:35:08
Re: Zoomable Number Lineooh wow, that is very very nice!! Thank you so very much, I will make use of it in the future!!! igloo myrtilles fourmis #89 20120227 14:07:08

Re: Zoomable Number LineI was looking at your logic puzzles and there is one about "Marble Mix Up" that is totally incorrect, i suggest you guys take it off. There are two solutions to the problem, and the solution given is not one of them. I was looking at this because i teach a logic class for 8th graders and was looking for problems. I can give you the two solutions if you want them, but there are 2 correct answers for this problem. Also, there are 3 answers for the one about 4 people travelling by 4 means of transportation. Only one of the possilbe 3 answers is given. Okay, thanks. #92 20120228 21:32:52
Re: Zoomable Number LineHi jr.williams; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #93 20120228 22:16:13
