Permutation GeneratorHey everyone! I was wondering if someone can help me out. I have a math project and need a little help: #2 20120208 18:21:32
Re: Permutation GeneratorHi aegiziano1, "Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense" Buddha? "Data! Data! Data!" he cried impatiently. "I can't make bricks without clay." #3 20120208 18:43:31
Re: Permutation GeneratorHi all;
Generating functions can do this.
Unless there are only a few then you will need a computer. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #4 20120209 02:03:32

Re: Permutation GeneratorHi Labodmin;
How many numbers are there? Are the numbers different? I used zeros as space holders so it would line up nice. That is 162 ways. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.
