Superman, Batman, and Spiderman go to attend Tintin's Birthday Party. Superman, Batman and Spiderman have got into an understanding whereby each of them spend equally on any outing. Superman brings 5 candles with him, Batman bring exactly the same size and cost, but only three candles with him. Spiderman brings nothing with him but when they return after the party, hands over 8 Pounds as his contribrution. Now, the question is, how would Superaman and Batman share the amount such that all of them had spent equally on the party. Asterix has decided how that is to be done. Mickey and Donald are impressed. Phantom is astonished. Can you deliver the judgement?

Well, I've seen a variation of this, so I'll attempt to clarify.
Superman, Batman and Spiderman all have to spend the same amount of money on everything.
However, Spiderman forgot to buy some candles, so after the party he brought 8 pounds for Superman and Batman to split among themselves to make it so that they had all lost the money needed to buy the same amount of candles. Batman and Superman need to figure out how they split the money.
Hmm, that's just as complicated as ganesh's description...

Hmmm so:
Superman: 5 candles
Batman: 3 candles
Spiderman: 8 pounds
And Spiderman is the only one to contribute exactly his share, so Superman and Batman have to work out how many pounds each they get to make it fair, right?
If only Superman and Batman had bought 4 candles each it would be much easier!

Spiderman's contribution is 8 pounds.
Therefore, it is inferred each person contributes 8 pounds.

I think there are a few others on this forum that could also solve the puzzles, but they tend to leave them for others...

Oh, I am not upset!
I was just hoping to tease tt into telling us a little about themselves ... 
I mean, the puzzle is there to be solved, right? We really need to find a good way for people to solve the puzzle without giving it away while everyone else is working on it.
The "invisible text" idea was good, but now I have had another brainwave ...
What if I could get the software to actually replace the text with a link that you have to click on to pop up the whole post?

I used: {hide}your answer{/hide}, but [] instead of {}
"hide" is not really the best name, because it is not really hidden, so if someone could suggest a better (short and obvious) name before we all start using it, that would be good.
I had a couple of other ideas for names ...
msg (short for message)
pop (as in it "pop"s up)
click
... but there must be a better name ...

I could change the name in the script, but you want it to be variable, right? So you can choose different button text each time?
