Solve this!Superman, Batman, and Spiderman go to attend Tintin's Birthday Party. Superman, Batman and Spiderman have got into an understanding whereby each of them spend equally on any outing. Superman brings 5 candles with him, Batman bring exactly the same size and cost, but only three candles with him. Spiderman brings nothing with him but when they return after the party, hands over 8 Pounds as his contribrution. Now, the question is, how would Superaman and Batman share the amount such that all of them had spent equally on the party. Asterix has decided how that is to be done. Mickey and Donald are impressed. Phantom is astonished. Can you deliver the judgement? Character is who you are when no one is looking. #2 20050709 05:54:57
Re: Solve this!Give the money to Tintin? School is practice for the future. Practice makes perfect. But nobody's perfect, so why practice? #3 20050709 06:04:14
Re: Solve this!Did you just delete your post and then put it up again? Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #4 20050709 06:05:32
Re: Solve this!Yeah because nobody had noticed........... School is practice for the future. Practice makes perfect. But nobody's perfect, so why practice? #5 20050709 06:17:43

Re: Solve this!I think there are a few others on this forum that could also solve the puzzles, but they tend to leave them for others... Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #17 20050716 22:13:57

Re: Solve this! And now we can all do this: Homer Simpson likes (Yes, I got it working, a nice present for us puzzlers!)I used: {hide}your answer{/hide}, but [] instead of {} "hide" is not really the best name, because it is not really hidden, so if someone could suggest a better (short and obvious) name before we all start using it, that would be good. I had a couple of other ideas for names ... msg (short for message) pop (as in it "pop"s up) click ... but there must be a better name ... Re: Solve this!Is there any way to change 'Show Hidden Text' into something else? Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #24 20050717 19:40:41
Re: Solve this!I could change the name in the script, but you want it to be variable, right? So you can choose different button text each time? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #25 20050718 00:14:29
