Sadly this is not a joke, but you will laugh.

Before I start let me say that the person having this conversation with the teacher is a JUNIOR IN HIGHSCHOOL:

Mr. Miani(Teacher by the way): "Do you even know how to multiply? How could you miss that? This is third grade math!"

Anonymous student: "Of course I know how to multiply, I'm in Advanced Math (precalc). I just forgot the formulas."

Mr. Miani(getting really aggravated): "Tell me then *student* what is 7 times 9?"

Student: "63, duh!"

Mr. Miani: "Well then, what's 9 times 7?"

Student: "36, this isn't funny anymore."

I'm not kidding about this, the class literally fell into a stupor after this was said. It was so funny I almost forgot about my looming AP Calc exam. AHHHHHHHH!!!!! x_x (<--This is because there isn't a good "dead" smiley)

I agree! But as MathsIsFun said ... are you sure this was just an error that the pupil had made, or that he was attempting to humour the teacher?
