World Cup 2006So, who's watching the Soccer? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #2 2006-06-13 04:24:20
Re: World Cup 2006I am trying to avoid it, as people have gone crazy about it where i live. I got into maths this morning, (I am the only girl in the class) and all the boys were taking tatics, and players and I didn't have a clue about it. #3 2006-06-13 05:30:58
Re: World Cup 2006England didn't even score a goal. They're lame. Boy let me tell you what: I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too. And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you. #4 2006-06-13 05:47:12#5 2006-06-13 07:31:31

Re: World Cup 2006I saw 30 minutes of games so far and it is awesome! I love soccer. I used to play soccer on hour lunch breaks from Markem in Keene, NH, in the early 90's. I also played soccer in 6th grade or so (age 11). I saw a replay video of two players rolling the ball backwards to each other around opponents! Really amazing footwork! Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #8 2006-06-14 01:14:08

Re: World Cup 2006$10 says that one of his friends said, "Break a leg" before he went out to play. "In the real world, this would be a problem. But in mathematics, we can just define a place where this problem doesn't exist. So we'll go ahead and do that now..." #14 2006-06-14 22:15:20
