Agnishom, which dialect are you talking about?

I do not know much. I installed the package clisp which possibly stands for common lisp

CLISP and Clojure are the most commonly used ones.

Also, I think Lisp can be accessed through Maxima.

Yes, you can use lisp through maxima.

Then, there is scheme too

There are about 20 dialects that I know of. Though common and scheme are the most popular.

Prolog?

Prolog is not a dialect of Lisp.

I have heard that it is difficult to master.

Did they teach it first?

No. We are first going over first and second order logic.

Unfortunately, no. It is among the two last that they teach, next to SQL. We begin with Pascal, then C++, ASM and then these two.

It should be something like Prolog, Pascal, ASM, C++, SQL.

What use is C++? Why not language x? The attractive-ness depends on the programmer. I, for one, have a love for OCaml which is, I must say, an extraordinary language.

C++ is very fast and supports all the feature that make the purists very happy.

Still, can you describe a real-life situation when you will want to use Prolog?
