Man will not go gently into that good night but rather it will probably mean the end of civilization. Since it requires technology which rests on mathematics to sustain or even achieve 7 billion plus humans, very likely it will also be a mass extinction.

Indeed I hope man becomes extinct. Hopefully, after a few thousand million years, when he evolves back into existence, he will have learnt his lesson and will choose his lifestyle more carefully. roll

How do you know he has not already done that millions of times before...? Always with the same result.

I can only hope that I am appointed on the panel to evaluate him why he tries to wiggle back into existence. In the immortal words of my neighbor an extreme nihilist, "he ain't gettin anymore chances."
