Re: Why we need numbers ?Man will not go gently into that good night but rather it will probably mean the end of civilization. Since it requires technology which rests on mathematics to sustain or even achieve 7 billion plus humans, very likely it will also be a mass extinction. In mathematics, you don't understand things.
