### Re: Find the equation

Hi;

y - 2x = 9

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

### Re: Find the equation

the options that I have are as follows:
y=-2x+1
y=-2x+3
y=-1/2x+4

Being that it is parallel, I thought that it was y=-2x+1. Would this not be correct?

### Re: Find the equation

No, none of those lines are parallel to y = 2x - 3

### Re: Find the equation

that was actually supposed to be y=-2x-3
find the equation of the line passing through the point (-2, 5) and parallel to y=-2x-3

y=-2x+1
y=-2x+3
y=-1/2x+4
y=2x-1

Hi;

In that case the answer is y=-2x+1.
