Re: JusticeWho knew it was possible to stray this far away from the topic in just one page! The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #52 2013-03-05 03:18:48
Re: JusticeDid you find what you were after? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #53 2013-03-05 08:58:02

Re: Justice
well... there are things that we can't understand..what would you say to a man that hasn't seen integrals and doesn't see in it nothing but little "snakes"..
when I talk about Christ and the Bible, I'm not talking about the religion...for me a Christian is a spiritually newborn man (John 3:3-7- Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.), and not just the etiquette that you get when a catholic priest sprinkles you with water..

Re: Justice
Everybody already knows that. What I wished was that some people suspected that about themselves too. I ain't the only wrong person in the world. You can not blame me totally for this mess.
You imply possibly that some laws have not been revealed to us? That we are still learning? I agree, Maybe the next time they decide to write a new book they might have to have a revised edition. Or maybe even add some chapters. Maybe take some out. They have done it before. Last edited by bobbym (2013-03-05 20:42:10) In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: Justicelol.. so your conclusion is that I say to stone everyone who is wrong? Last edited by noemi (2013-03-05 20:41:14) #59 2013-03-05 20:54:32
Re: JusticeUnless I am very wrong it was ancient Jewish law to stone people. This is the law of the Old Testament. I do not see what God has to do with any of this. It seems to me to be a civil matter what punishment is handed out for some crime. Some states have the death penalty, if you take a life yours will be taken. Other states do not. Re: JusticeWell I believe there is God behind Old Testament..but I know it's difficult to understand it.. I couldn't understand it before I understood New Testament completely... Last edited by noemi (2013-03-05 21:03:41) #61 2013-03-05 21:06:28

Re: JusticeI remember an old fellow I knew when I was young. He became ill and prayed to God to save him. "God," he said, "if you make me well I will sell my horse for 1 dollar." Sure enough he got better, now he had to honor his promise so being cunning he sat down and thought about it. He finally came up with selling his horse for 1 dollar but the saddle for 200 dollars. Re: JusticeHe did not, according to him he had not violated the ancient laws. Pappym agreed with that when I told him I thought he should be stoned, sorry, bricked. Re: JusticeThose two examples do not apply here. He kept his word. No one was cheated. Let's assume he committed some crime, we immediately see the difference between the old testament God and the modern one. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: Justiceyour story is about sacrifice... he didn't please God by doing that.. there will be different rewards in Heaven (and that he lived long is not a argument for anything..many bad sinners live long) Last edited by noemi (2013-03-05 21:51:50) #69 2013-03-05 21:54:11
Re: JusticeNope, I do not. How do you know whether he was pleased or not. You think that he is like me or you, he is not. There is a ton of wrongdoing on the earth everyday, he tolerates it and obviously forgives it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: JusticeMaybe he is going to wait a billion years, after all he does not have the same concept of time we do. No one knows when he will close the doors or even if he will close them, hence the eastern way! In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: JusticeThere maybe a time but it may be millions of years from now. Maybe he changed his mind, maybe there is no judgement day. In mathematics, you don't understand things. Re: JusticeWhat He says - He does it (cause nothing what He says is wrong, He doesn't need to correct himself)... His mind is not like ours- changeable..He can't contradict himself.. He knows everything... He knows your decision about your salvation in the future.. although you may never choose Jesus for your Savior (and He is going to let it happen) Last edited by noemi (2013-03-05 22:20:46) #75 2013-03-05 22:22:33
Re: JusticeSorry, that is totally incorrect. You are describing a being without a free will. He can change his mind because if he can not then he can not do everything. This is a contradiction. Fully 1 / 3 of his angels had the right to make a choice, so can he. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
