Re: JusticeHi; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #5 2013-03-03 06:25:43
Re: JusticeThat is a very old viewpoint. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #6 2013-03-03 06:31:45

Re: JusticeI am afraid not. Things change. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #8 2013-03-03 06:49:24
Re: Justiceif the justice and the truth change.. then we're in a big trouble #9 2013-03-03 06:50:39
Re: JusticeDo you know what it means? The justice you are advocating. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #11 2013-03-03 07:20:37
Re: JusticeHow is that kind of justice supposed to bring peace? The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #12 2013-03-03 07:23:36
Re: JusticeIs it really justice? Does that work? Why was it abandoned? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #13 2013-03-03 07:27:26
Re: Justicethere is difference between mercy and justice #14 2013-03-03 07:28:43
Re: JusticeWhere is it now practiced? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #15 2013-03-03 07:31:30
Re: Justiceif it's not practiced does that mean that it is not the true definition anymore #16 2013-03-03 07:35:09
Re: JusticeWhat true definition? Whose? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #17 2013-03-03 07:54:44

Re: Justice
Who feels righteous enough?
Is this justice? No, it's mercy. Last edited by noemi (2013-03-03 20:49:19) #20 2013-03-03 21:39:32
Re: JusticeReligion was always too extremal in some things. Re: Justice
The question of what have their God done for them is improper, It is the same God. I suggest one follow Jesus' idea of mercy rather than the old testament idea of justice. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: Justicebobbym, I believe there is only one God ..but people worship different gods ..you and I surely don't belong to the same one Last edited by noemi (2013-03-04 01:22:55) #23 2013-03-04 01:56:21
Re: JusticeWe don't belong to the same what? Religion? I am a Christian too. Re: Justicedear stefy.. it's not my idea, it is written in the Bible- the book that you should take as the Word of God if you're a true Christian #25 2013-03-04 04:39:32
Re: JusticeWell, all things considered, I do agree to some point with the Bible. But there are things, like the God killing almost all of mankind in a flood, that I really do not like.
