Re: Bafflers?

Hi bobbym,

I think so. How are you today?

Tired. Had a long day.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
Of course that result can be rigorously obtained, but who cares?

Hi bobbym

I have an idea, but it is too complicated...

By dint of torturous effort. There is probably an easier way, why don't you try the problem?

Re: Bafflers?

Hi Bobby,

I used Geogebra for my solution...to 15 decimal places (see answer in cell B24 in the image).

I hadn't used their spreadsheet before. A nice feature is that you can link cell entries to the results on the main page, enabling automatic spreadsheet updating to reflect changes in drawings.

Do you know how to shade the segments? I couldn't see how to do it.
