need this graphed so i can see what it is pleaseso i am a bit out of my element here but can anyone please tell me what this looks like graphed out, what picture it makes that is? Last edited by jamesjames1 (2012-07-29 22:19:32) #2 2012-07-29 23:41:49

Re: need this graphed so i can see what it is pleaseTry entering it into a 3D plotter. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Probability is the most important concept in modern science, especially as nobody has the slightest notion what it means. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. #5 2012-07-30 02:55:41
Re: need this graphed so i can see what it is please
well its not a joke i got it from a friend of mine, who sent it with a note that said graph and connect the dots? #6 2012-07-30 04:35:40
Re: need this graphed so i can see what it is pleasehi Stefy,
Do you have a text version of the expression? (to save my typing finger) You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #7 2012-07-30 05:30:22

Re: need this graphed so i can see what it is pleaseHi Bob Code:(x-2)^2*(y-2*x+2)^2*(y+2*x-10)^2*(x-4)^2*(x-6)^2*((y-4)^2+abs(x-5)+abs(x-7)-2)^2*((y-2)^2+abs(x-5)+abs(x-7)-2)^2*(x-8)^2*((y-2)^2+abs(x-8)+abs(x-10)-2)^2*(x-11)^2*((y+x/2-19/2)^2+abs(x-11)+abs(x-13)-2)^2*((y-x/2+7/2)^2+abs(x-11)+abs(x-13)-2)^2*(x-16)^2*(x-18)^2*((y-3)^2+abs(x-16)+abs(x-18)-2)^2*((x-20)^2+(y-3)^2-1)^2*(x-22)^2*((y+x/4-19/2)^2+abs(x-22)+abs(x-24)-2)^2*((y-x/8-1/2)^2+abs(x-22)+abs(x-24)-2)^2*((y+5*x/8-17)^2+abs(x-22)+abs(x-24)-2)^2*((y-x/2+21/2)^2+abs(x-25)+abs(x-27)-2)^2*((y-3)^2+abs(x-25)+abs(x-27)-2)^2*((y-x/2+19/2)^2+abs(x-25)+abs(x-27)-2)^2*(x-28)^2*((y-2)^2+abs(x-28)+abs(x-30)-2)^2*((y-3)^2+abs(x-28)+abs(x-29)-1)^2*((y-4)^2+abs(x-28)+abs(x-30)-2)^2*((y-x/2+27/2)^2+abs(x-31)+abs(x-33)-2)^2*((y-3)^2+abs(x-31)+abs(x-33)-2)^2*((y-x/2+25/2)^2+abs(x-31)+abs(x-33)-2)^2+(y^2-6*y+8+sqrt(y^4-12*y^3+52*y^2-96*y+64))^2=0 Tried it once more, it just returned a blank plane. I also tried it with Maxima and it said the expression evaluates to non-numeric values for each value of x in the range from -1000 to 1000 (although I wouldn't guarantee that this result is true). Re: need this graphed so i can see what it is pleaseOne of your terms is incorrect. If you check you will find it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: need this graphed so i can see what it is pleaseJust tell me already. Re: need this graphed so i can see what it is pleaseI have this: In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. Re: need this graphed so i can see what it is pleaseAhhh... Fixed it.
