In M N[Pi,100] means pi to 100 digits.

You should be trying to implement that routine in Maxima.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

We have already tried that. but haven't finished.

Code so far:

pslq(l,dig) := block(
{a},
a : diagmatrix(length(l),1)),
a : addrow(a,10^dig*l),
)

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

Yup. Where did you say l say the vector l should be added relative to the matrix?

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

Where do we add the vector l to the matrix a? On which side of tthe matrix?

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

The second one. The one with Append. I want to make sure my function is doing what it is supposed to.

Hi;

Append[IdentityMatrix[3],{1,2,3}]

Notice where the [1,2,3] vector went.

Okay.

Btw, why are you never around at 1AM to 7AM CET?

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

You mean Pacific time 2 pm to 10 pm. I was always here at that time but am currently having my brother over and we eat and discuss mathematics and things.

Of course that is not an ironclad rule. It is 3:18 pm and I am here.

Well because you should be in bed at that time. Do you want me to set a bad example by keeping you up?

You wouldn't be contributing even if you posted at that time.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

Youngsters need their sleep time. Else they get bags under their eyes and start to look like Bela Lugosi. Older people need much less sleep. They already look like Bela Lugosi.

Re: PSLQ and LLL?

I am not. Currently I am having a math discussion on FB and a discussion with you here. When both stop, I will begin reading some PDF files on numerical analysis and possibly read a few chapters of a manga.
