I am not big on jargon or definitions. That is for set theorists, topologists and logicians. To me it means no more loops! Say goodbye to For Next, Do Until, Do While, Loop, Goto...

Pointers are a bane to humanity. My brother was the only programmer that liked them. They are very powerful but too dangerous for the modern programmer so they were eliminated in Java.

The functional way does not need them.

You do not use even them to do it. M supports polynomial arithmetic and rational functions. In C++ you write a polynomial class.

I think that you would have to let this one to procedural programming,because it is too much to write every function separately.
