Re: Newbie

hi Donald

Welcome to the forum!

though I'm too much old to join here

??  If there was an age limit, some of us would have had to resign about 50 years ago!  smile

There is a theory that mathematicians do their best work when they are young and then it's all downhill from there.

I don't subscribe to this theory.

Thinking keeps you young!

Looking forward to your posts,

Bob

ps.  I see you've introduced yourself twice.  OK there no limit on that either!

Which do you prefer, Reese or Donald ?

Hi ganesh

There actually exists aplace for learning better than this forum...the Math Is Fun main site! roflol

Re: Newbie

Hi anonimnystefy,

I think the forum is a subset of the site! Isn't it?

Everyone would certainly have one if they see that I said there is a better place to learn than this forum. smile

He has a point. The forum is a subset of the site.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.

Hi anonimnystefy,

Is your introduction thread closed? I didn't know that. How did it happened? I am not aware of this.
