?? If there was an age limit, some of us would have had to resign about 50 years ago! You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #4 2012-04-10 22:49:22
Re: NewbieHi Donald The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #5 2012-04-11 20:10:51

Re: NewbieHe has a point. The forum is a subset of the site. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #8 2012-04-11 21:17:22
Re: NewbieI know that, but why won't anyone accept my attempt to make a joke? The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #9 2012-04-11 21:26:23
Re: NewbieI did. I also had a huge blast of adrenalin from it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #10 2012-04-11 21:27:43
Re: NewbieXexe.Yes,thought it might cause that reaction.I should really stop chatting in other people introduction threads, but you closed mine and I don't know why. The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #11 2012-04-11 21:37:57
