nice idea.any other?we need to think.reading the description of the show i noticed that they brought contestants that had very unusual jobs,so this one must have it too.so think unusual jobs.

Recapping.
He may do some programming but he gets most of his computing 'tools' from others.
He is able to put something into every computer that sends him data.
He doesn't work for someone else, but has his own organisation.
bobbym is not sure if he makes money out of this practice.
?? surely this rules out targeted advertising, phishing, etc for we know there is money to be made there.

Now, in the UK there is legislation that makes it an crime to possess data when you have no authorisation to have it. So it's a crime just to have it, whatever you subsequently do with it.
May I ask, without cost, whether that's what you meant by YES to illegal. Or is it what is subsequently done with it that makes it illegal?
