How is everyone? How are you all? I hope you're all OK. I haven't used the internet for about ten million years, apart from being forced to use it at school, and the internet is the only way I can know if you are. School is practice for the future. Practice makes perfect. But - nobody's perfect, so why practice? #2 2005-11-03 07:29:08
Re: How is everyone?Really nice to hear from you ... "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #3 2005-11-03 08:59:38
Re: How is everyone?I shudder at your snake. Boy let me tell you what: I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too. And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you. #5 2005-11-03 21:18:19
Re: How is everyone?Everyone's weird in their own way. #6 2005-11-04 02:00:37
Re: How is everyone?Yep. Zach's weird because he thinks he's a ferret (hence the snake shuddering), Rod's weird because he called me a force of nature, justlookingforthemoment is weird because she not only chose a really long name, but she also doesn't have a signature and I don't know where to start explaining why insomnia's weird. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #7 2005-11-04 05:59:18
Re: How is everyone?Yes, a bit blustery but not much. Techniques are many, Principles are few. Techniques may vary, Principles never do. #8 2005-11-04 17:59:40
Re: How is everyone?You forgot ganesh - he's weird because he isn't weird. #12 2005-11-06 10:20:53
Re: How is everyone? You're welcome. And just in case you ever want to use that word again...it's sarcasm. #14 2005-11-06 16:55:41
Re: How is everyone?I liked "scarism". Much more descriptive. El que pega primero pega dos veces. #15 2005-11-06 20:48:29
Re: How is everyone?Sounds like a religious movement. Perhaps they only believe in hell. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #16 2005-11-08 00:04:31
Re: How is everyone? If you believe in hell, you must believe in heaven. Everything must have an opposite or something like that. Friends are angels who lift our feet when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly #18 2005-11-08 17:35:27
Re: How is everyone?I liked it ... quite amazing historical stuff about Jesus, Da Vinci, etc. It is mix of fact and fiction. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #19 2005-11-08 17:46:13
Re: How is everyone?I still haven't got around to reading it...and we even have it at home. #20 2005-11-08 19:32:00
Re: How is everyone? It will change your perceptions (I think). Also, it will make you look for a tape measure (or equivalent) Friends are angels who lift our feet when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly #21 2005-11-09 02:19:17
Re: How is everyone? It didn't change mine. I thought it was an Ok story. The primary focus of the book was the ideas and history, and not the story, which really watered it down for me since it seems based less on history and more on myth. (How big is the difference?) El que pega primero pega dos veces. #22 2005-11-09 14:35:23
Re: How is everyone?I've decided I'm going to start reading this weekend. And...introducing the maths version of Angels and Demons: Angles and Demons! #23 2005-11-10 07:50:02
Re: How is everyone?OK! Here he is. Or she. Actually, I'm not sure. Maybe Slinky's some kind of mutant and is an it.....I wouldn't know! School is practice for the future. Practice makes perfect. But - nobody's perfect, so why practice? #24 2005-11-10 07:56:32
Re: How is everyone? This is one shiny snake! "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #25 2005-11-10 09:54:15
Re: How is everyone?Ew. Snake. Boy let me tell you what: I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too. And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you. |
