Yes, that is correct see post #224 for the explanation.

Hi bobbym,

I get exactly that...

Re: Is this cool with you?

Okay, that is done! Now I go to the circle problem. I am half done with that. Thanks for looking at this problem guys.

Re: Is this cool with you?

Hi Howardroark,

Ok, I suggest you to do use maxima : http://maxima.sourceforge.net/download.html
I use sagemath, but it's not available for windows.
Maxima is good.

Re: Is this cool with you?

Hi bobbym,

Can we write scripts in maxima? I mostly use sage because it allows python scripts, makes the job so easy!

Hi Howardroark,

good to know you.
You can upload images using the dropdown list under "image upload"

Re: Is this cool with you?

Have not used it in awhile ( old version ). I know it uses lisp as its programming language. Stick with Sage if you already know that.

Re: Is this cool with you?

Hi bobbym,

Ok, we can load maxima modules from sage itself. So it does everything maxima does + more. So even if recursion, z-transform etc is not available in sage, we can load maxima and solve it.

Hi Howardroark,

Glad that you found it !

What do you like?

This is a post on first page.
(perm(8,4)^2)/perm(64,4) = 1680^2/15249024 is my answer.
When we place a checker on the board, the number of rows and columns available for the next checker decreases by 1.
So, available squares will become 7x7, 6x6 and 5x5. Hence the probability = (8*7*6*5)^2/(64*63*62*61).

Re: Is this cool with you?

A real stumper!

B throws two die. One of the die lands on an odd number, what is the probability that the two die equal 8?

A says) 2 / 9
B says) 1 / 18
C says) 2 / 27
D says) 1 / 6

What do you say?
