The 4 SeasonsWhat do the words, "SPRING", "SUMMER", "AUTUMN", and "WINTER" all have in common? Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #2 2010-08-28 05:38:44
Re: The 4 SeasonsHi John; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #3 2010-08-28 05:41:08
Re: The 4 SeasonsYes, that Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #4 2010-08-28 05:44:43
Re: The 4 SeasonsThey are all a season of the year. Which also has 6. In mathematics, you don't understand things. Re: The 4 SeasonsHe thought of fives I kept thinking of sevens. They are all bad weather too. In mathematics, you don't understand things. Re: The 4 SeasonsThat is what I thought too, but deserts are weird. It has only snowed here twice that I know of. All the others occur here. The climate is radically different just 10 - 12 miles away. One area of the town never gets rain but just 10 miles away it rained almost the entire month of January. I have seen hailstorms here most recently February of this year. I saw 3 small tornadoes all at once. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #10 2010-09-06 07:33:01
