That is what I thought too, but deserts are weird. It has only snowed here twice that I know of. All the others occur here. The climate is radically different just 10 - 12 miles away. One area of the town never gets rain but just 10 miles away it rained almost the entire month of January. I have seen hailstorms here most recently February of this year. I saw 3 small tornadoes all at once.

Yes! I just saw him this last saturday, and he still looks good. He is
a very logical, smart, and somewhat humorous man. The last time
we asked him about it was some years ago, so I don't recall everything
he said, regrettably, but if you know the Finnish language, you can
read an article with his name, "Charles Lehtinen" in it, I found on the
internet. I googled something like, [NASA "Charles Lehtinen" 1969], but
I think I left off the 1969.
