Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

These are actually in a 1.00 store here, nothing over a buck.

Not all are inventions but one has to marvel at the inventiveness of their marketing dept.

Pet trashcan - 1.00
empty soda bottle - .50
clear sunglasses - 1.00
Faded Jacko T-shirt - $4.00
baby milk bottle with laser range finder - 1.00
bag of 75 cents in coins - 1.00

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

But why was the T-shirt there if it was $4.00? We have those kind of shops, but ours are $2.

Oh, yeah! They do that at our $2 shops all the time, it's horribly rigged.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

The people who would buy that that are probably the dumbest invention.

How could the people be an invention?

They are a creation, are they not?

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

They're a bunch of matter, not necessarily a creation, just a formation. Although I guess they were created to be born... But anyway they can't help it if they're dumb.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Beg to differ, they are very much a creation. They were designed. They didn't just fall together.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Yes I think they did just fall together. Or I think that the sperm and the egg that created them- no wait, the first life evolved from matter falling together that created the universe. And the rest is Elementry, my dear Watson.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Really, all by accident? That is some accident. I wasn't created by accident, took 2 people to make me.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

I didn't say that the dumb people's parents formed by accident, just the evolution. Although they could've been an accident...

Also interesting, evolution remember it is only a theory, not fact.

But it's the most logical theory.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Not really, there are other theories. It is the one that is fashionable, trendy!

Because those other theories are dumb inventions.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Supposing this one, is the dumb invention. Remember 50 years ago they were selling another theory. 50 years from now they will sell yet another.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Back then they were selling creationism. They argued it just as hard and just as long. They were sure they were right then too.

Theories are not facts, no matter how much publicity they get.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

I know, I know. I still believe creationism is wrong, but a less likely possibility. I have to go, we shall discuss this later.

Re: World's Dumbest Inventions

Yes, I thought of that random keys. Keep you guessing.

Here is one, I don't think anyone has ever thought of this. Make an operating system so bloated it wears your hard drives out twice as fast. Why because we own those companies too. Make it about 10 gigs when it only needs to be 300 - 400 megs. Make it use the hard drive a lot in place of ram so that it is very slow. Have the os spy on it's users and report to law enforcement. Make the os the absolute standard so all software is written for it. Put it on all machines so that every time someone buys a new computer they pay for the os again and again.

Cripple competitors with thug tactics and legalities. Make our competitors software run badly on our os. That way people won't use their software. Encourage hackers and virus writers to attack our os and then gain controlling interests in all the security software. You know make a problem and then solve it. Spend 10 times more on advertisement then on building a good os. Sounds like a winner! Now we need a name, Wind Blows, that's it.
