Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagWe have a "Hide" tag, which lets you enter your answer but people have to click on a button to see it. This lets other people have a go without seeing your answer. It doesn't really hide it, but does remove it by one click. Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagthe function has bugs i think.. Last edited by kylekatarn (2005-08-08 00:59:23) #3 2005-08-08 08:45:46
Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagNot a bug ... just lack of a feature "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #4 2005-08-08 10:00:12
Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagMost people don't use hide tags nor BBcode INSIDE those tags.. so if you have some spare time it would be nice a nice detail to add. But it's not something to worry about in a serious way... : ) #5 2005-09-03 15:50:36
Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagHey, this is really neat! Good idea. Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #6 2005-09-03 16:43:03
Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tag
Quite right, but not as simple as one would imagine. However I am close to a solution. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #7 2005-09-03 20:07:21
Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagOK, you can now use bbcode in "hide" tags - please tell me how you get on. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #9 2005-09-03 22:16:12

Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagWhy do all the posts with hide tags in them have things like this #13 2005-09-29 20:27:06
Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagInteresting ... I will take a look at that! "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #14 2005-12-02 04:51:13

Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagThe shortest tongue twister is actually 'sixish'. It only works if you trying saying it lots of times though. Plus, it's probably not a real word. At least it's very short. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #19 2005-12-12 00:24:06

Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagWhat's happening with my posts? i've poster button with PI and now it's gone! Did someone deleted it? IPBLE: Increasing Performance By Lowering Expectations. #21 2005-12-12 18:33:25

Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagI was messing around with some BBCode and found this (highlight the post): Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #23 2006-01-03 07:35:47
Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagI didn't believe you till I tried it, and you're right, it doesn't work in different styles. It's a fairly simple task to get the style the person is viewing, then change the font to the background color of the post. Weird. "In the real world, this would be a problem. But in mathematics, we can just define a place where this problem doesn't exist. So we'll go ahead and do that now..." #24 2006-01-03 11:30:06
Re: Puzzlers - you can use the "Hide" tagI think I'm using oxygen. The text is almost the right colour, and blends in especially well if I tilt my screen down. #25 2006-01-03 11:43:27
