Computer joke
One day a man decided to go sit on his porch and watch the sun rise and set. The next thing you know there is a blonde running to her mailbox. She kept running back and forth from her house to the mailbox for a good ten minutes.
Finally the man got tired of wondering, and asked, "Why do you keep running back and forth to the mailbox?"
Can you figure it out??
Or do I rock at find ing jokes that no one heard?

I hope this isn't another sexist joke. If it isn't, then let sunrise = x and sunset = y. Let the woman's position at the mailbox be a and in the house be b, and let the time of the woman running about be c.
If x = ½c and y = ½c, then (x+y) = c. If the woman ran to the mailbox first, then x = a. If the woman ran to her house first, then x = b. If x = a then y = b, and if x = b then y = a.

She reads her mail one by one, then goes back to her mailbox, just as you would do on a computer with email.
"In the real world, this would be a problem. But in mathematics, we can just define a place where this problem doesn't exist. So we'll go ahead and do that now..."
