Why Must We Learn This
One day our professor was discussing a particularly complicated concept. A pre-med student rudely interrupted to ask, "Why do we have to learn this pointless information"
"To save lives." the professor responded quickly and continued the lecture.
A few minutes later, the same student spoke up again. "So how does physics save lives?" he persisted.
"It keeps the ignoramuses like you out of medical school," replied the professor.
"Let us realize that: the privilege to work is a gift, the power to work is a blessing, the love of work is success!"

I wonder if a professor would actually say something like this...it seems unlikely, but not impossible of highly unlikely. I can imagine a professor saying something like 'get out of my physics class, you don't know how much life you're wasting here!' or something like that.
