Basic Fractions

Basic Fractions Exercises

These exercises should be quite easy. Hopefully you'll find some good material in here. Be careful not to think of 1/3 as 1 divided by 3 - Think of it as a third, or one over three.

1. 2 ½ + 1 ¼ =
2. 3 [sup]1[/sup]/[sub]3[/sub] + 2 [sup]2[/sup]/[sub]3[/sub] =
3. 4 ½ + 2 [sup]2[/sup]/[sub]3[/sub] =
4. 1 [sup]2[/sup]/[sub]3[/sub] + 3 [sup]5[/sup]/[sub]8[/sub] =
5. 4 [sup]3[/sup]/[sub]5[/sub] + 2 [sup]3[/sup]/[sub]4[/sub] =
6. 5 [sup]2[/sup]/[sub]5[/sub] - 2 [sup]2[/sup]/[sub]3[/sub] =
7. 4 [sup]1[/sup]/[sub]8[/sub] - 2 [sup]5[/sup]/[sub]6[/sub] =
8. 2 ½ x 1 [sup]1[/sup]/[sub]5[/sub] =
9. 3 [sup]1[/sup]/[sub]3[/sub] x 1 [sup]3[/sup]/[sub]5[/sub] =
10. 4 [sup]4[/sup]/[sub]5[/sub] x 1 [sup]1[/sup]/[sub]9[/sub] =
