### Re: Algebra Help

Hi;

Determine the value of 4(x + 4)-3 when x=7.

Wherever you see an x you replace it with a 7.

So 4(x + 4) - 3 becomes 4(7 + 4) - 3.

4(7 + 4) - 3 becomes 4(11) - 3.

4(11) - 3 becomes 44 - 3 = 41 which is the answer.
