Log

Hi, quick question.

Is there a difference in notation when I say :

(log8(x))^2

and

log8(x)^2

Is it different ??? Thank you !

Re: Log

Hi;

The parentheses is not necessary, the log operator has precedence.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.
