SOPA / PIPA ProtestAs you know, there is mounting opposition to the proposed SOPA and PIPA laws that are being pushed through the US House of Reps and Senate. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #2 20120118 21:49:18
Re: SOPA / PIPA Protesthi MIF The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment #3 20120118 22:06:54
Re: SOPA / PIPA ProtestHi;
MIF; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #5 20120119 08:58:05
Re: SOPA / PIPA ProtestI think this banner is good enough and makes a good point. Plus I have a question to write in Help Me... igloo myrtilles fourmis #6 20120119 10:29:06
Re: SOPA / PIPA ProtestI was thinking the internet is a wonderful place to discuss ideas that are learned from other sources and if everything becomes so copyrighted that we can no longer have discussions, we are up the creek. igloo myrtilles fourmis #7 20120119 11:00:26

Re: SOPA / PIPA ProtestWell, one good thing came out of it. I was directed to my congresswoman's page and sent her an email. It fully lists my 1554 points ( in alphabetic order of course ) as to why these bills are putrid. Rest assured people, those bills are deader than people who can remember how to complete a cube or I wasn't the eastern states debating champion 7 years straight. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
