It kinda stumped me, but it is possible, in an exercise my whole class couldn't solve, and my teacher ended up giving the solution by accident. Trial and error is what you need to do.

it's Ratatouille, guys. The two are wuite similar, cept that the names in that book are things like Hamnpork, Darktan, Donut Enter, Big Savings, Nourishing, Toxie and etc.

Put it into working form, Devantè, sometimes automatic applets just don't work.

Here's more:

 NINE

Now, I've implemented unsolvable ones too! shame tongue

They are related, and A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I are all the same digits in both sums right? neutral

same as lightning... All I know (and supposedly lightning, too) is that algebra can be used to manipulate numbers using certain laws in mathematics to achieve an unknown.

... I didn't force you too, right? You don't have to bother if you're too stubborn Anthony.

I've read a book about some educated rodents, and it says a rat named Sardines once ate a whole box of greasepaint and it seemed to havegotten into his blood.
Book: The Amazing Maurice and His Edcated Rodents

Yes, the rat could talk and read and TAP DANCE... And he read the word off a tin can and though it sounded stylish. Yeah, Yeah, Sardines! Haha!

#136 Re: Puzzles and Games » DROD » 2007-09-11 23:44:19

Kind of makes me 'irrational'... haha smile

#137 Re: Exercises » Cryptarithms » 2007-09-11 00:54:12

Excellent! That's easy. Try the other one.

I'm not sure if it even belongs here, please help me move it if it doesn't. Thanks.

Cryptarithms are the things that you try to substitute the letters with numbers so that the sum becomes right. All members may post their unsolved cryptarithms too!

No 2 letters may be the same number.

Maths is more complex than you may think, Gurrdish!

Many things fall under Maths, even the coputer you use to access this site!

Anyway, Welcome to you, my friend!~

And, so I've heard, lets say a 4 digit number FACE
should be like this right(?):
____
FACE

#143 Re: Puzzles and Games » Unfold the Prism » 2007-09-10 23:33:46

Ok... but I meant in the solutions page. I don't understand it fully yet, you know... rolleyes

#144 Re: Puzzles and Games » Unfold the Prism » 2007-09-10 22:49:53

Interesting, though maybe you could showhow it actually forms the prism, an applet, maybe like the one in the 3-D shapes page. anyway, up

#145 Re: Puzzles and Games » let's make a rainbow!! » 2007-09-10 22:43:10

Ok... so what happens if someone gets the sequence wrong/spoils it?

#146 Re: Help Me ! » i want to get a head start on... » 2007-09-10 22:40:21

lightning, you are in the same boat as me... I haven't have much thought about algebra... I'm interested to learn the same way though.

#147 Re: This is Cool » Cool physics demonstration program! » 2007-09-10 01:55:23

Well, physics simulators (good and bad) are common on the internet, and free. But the downside is that they only demonstrate a certain set-up or property.

#148 Re: Maths Is Fun - Suggestions and Comments » Small text after Latex » 2007-09-10 01:52:41

Speaking of Latex, Radium and Mercury, because of black background, can't display them properly. Could you fix this?

It seems pixellated and has black inside the symbols/text/numbers.
