The towns water supply is not a river that flooded. We're mostly able to live as we used to here.
There doesn't seem to be real threat here in my town at the moment, for most people. The real problem are several towns demolished by the flood and several threatened to yet be demolished.

I'm not sure if you really want the floods. One small town near our capital was completely destroyed. The victim count as the media report it is rather low, but the guys on the field say it's much higher.

You cannot really use derivatives like that.
I don't see why it must be done numerically. You can just say cos(2 theta)=sqrt(7)/4 => sin(2 theta)=+/- 3/4.
Earlier, squaring was involved, so there's no guarantee that either answer is correct. You have to check them by substitution into the original problem.

Well, in the squaring method, the other solution, with -sin(x)+2n is needed.
Also, the answer for this one seems to be 0.96, but that was M's doing.
