Rida: Maybe you should install something like Adobe Photoshop, create a logo and so on. Then see if you can advertise in your local newspaper. Then you might spread world-wide and become famous! big_smile

#227 Re: Guestbook » Math RULZ!!! » 2007-04-16 20:49:01

Well, mathematics is OK, it's just some people don't like it that much. If you look at my quote, it says not everyone should love a certain subject, and some people are good at differant things.

#230 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » Pain » 2007-04-16 18:23:00

Well, I ended up with a new bandage. The only shoe I could fit it in was a worn-out trainer from months ago (I think I wore it when I came to Australia) and I had to wear the other one to school as well sad When I was fixing the bandage up someone accidently stepped on the toe I bruised badly. There was a teacher in the room but I cursed very badly because of the pain, and I don't usually curse. Also, I screamed and weeped. Imagine sad

#234 Re: Jokes » three things that shrink!!! » 2007-04-16 18:10:02

I am studying tonnes of English, Maths and any subject possible. When I go to high school next year I want to get such high standards- not 'cause I want to be a teacher, 'cause I want to be something like an astronaut (Or cosmonaut, that's what the Russians call them) so I can be the first person on Mars. Then establish a colony there and bring those tiny little wriggling micolife aliens to life and make them into the aliens you see in the cinemas...
Whoa, I just got carried off there. big_smile

My mum won't allow me to get crutches, it's just a bruise. But I really need them- school starts tommorow, and how on Earth am I going to get my bandage into a shoe?!

Are you going to upgrade the current 4-In-A-Row on the games section?

#241 Re: This is Cool » pi » 2007-04-15 14:27:22

John E. Franklin wrote:

Choco, Here is what pi is.

It's wintertime and you are at a perfectly round lake and it's great for skating.
One person skates straight across the lake through the middle to the other side.
And that is one kilometer or one mile, it's just an example.
Now then he skates along the edge of the lake back to where he started, which is
going around half a circle.  Now he has gone 2.57 kilometers or miles all together because
3.141 divided by 2 is 1.57, so when he came back along the edge, he went 1.57 kilometers or miles.

So another person skates around the whole lake, she would go 3.141 kilometers or miles.
That's the number pi, about three, or 3.1, which is about 3% more than 3.
More accurately 3.141, which is about 5% more than 3.

Also kilometers are shorter than miles by about 35%, but this example doesn't care how big the lake is, just the numbers, and how much bigger different numbers are.

Oooh, I get it now big_smile thanks, John.

I'll check the local theatres in Melbourne. And I once saw a Phantom Of The Opera mask in a dress-up shop last April Fool's Day, but that was the Melbourne in Derbyshire, England.

Phantom Of The Opera, eh? I've heard of it before. If you ever come back on, Lia Bolton, could you tell me where to see it at the cinema or as a play? It would really help wink

The bandage covers my heel... and the grounds of my school are covered in soil, wood chippings and so on.

Sort of like a forest floor. That's why I need crutches.

#250 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » Pain » 2007-04-13 19:10:03

It's going to be living tortue trying to get all the way to school tommorow, what with one shoe on and one shoe off.

I wonder if my mum will get crutches for me...
