Message To Bob

Hi Bob.

My friends and family think I am nuts for even owning a math textbook. I have 3 in all. They remind me all the time that I graduated from Lehman College in June 1994 and that my school days are behind me.

Seriously, what am I supposed to do at 59 years old? Pretend to be the life of the party? Pretend to have 100 girlfriends like Fonzie on Happy Days? Don't get me wrong. I do have a full-time overnight job which begins next week.

I don't spend the entire day solving math problems. What else is there to do? By the way, I also play classical guitar at the intermediate level. I also read music and arrange for classical guitar. But, no matter what I do, my friends and family call me crazy.

What do you say?

If you're crazy then I must be too.  Stick to what you want to do.

Re: Message To Bob

For instance, you may try to ask them what they think it is better for you to do instead of what you do actually.
Believe me, if if you will ask 10 of them (each in private), you will get 10 different answers smile

Every living thing has no choice but to execute its pre-programmed instructions embedded in it (known as instincts).
But only a human may have the freedom and ability to oppose his natural robotic nature.
But, by opposing it, such a human becomes no more of this world.

I am totally surprised that this post was not deleted by the hater(s).
I am confused. This forum is basically to share whatever we want that is or is not related to math. I don't get it.
