Homework multiplications

In the long jump, each competitor is allowed 6 attempts.  The average jump was 8m.  What was the total of metres jumped by all 12 finalists in all of their 6 jumps?

Re: Homework multiplications

The 12 competitors took 6 jumps each, so there were 12x6=72 jumps in all.
The jumps were an average of 8m, so the total distance jumped was 72x8m = 576m.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
