:dunnook please help me with this difficult sum . please !!!!!!

the sum is twisty and i need it for a exam only . please help . the sum is :- ( there are 4 options and i need the definition also )


the value of (-5) - (-48) / (-16) + (-2) x 6 is

a) -20      b) 20     c)-22         d)-10

Then, using Bodmas (Brackets, Order, Division Multiplication, Addition Subtraction), or Pemdas (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication Division, Addition Subtraction), to work through the problem. Remember to do multiplication and division first. Also remember that:

the value of (-5) - (-48) / (-16) + (-2) x 6 is:

Do the division and multiplications first.

-48 / -16 = 3 and -2 x 6 = -12

Substitute those values back in your original equation:
-5 - (3) + (-12)
-8 - 12 = -20
