Discriminants of Quadratic Equations

Excercises on the Discriminants of Quadratic Equations

More on Quadratic equations. It helps to understand this area, too, and it may prove useful at times.

Find the discriminants of the following equations.

1. -x² - 12x + 3 = 0
2. x² + 2x - 4 = 0
3. -5x² - 2x + 9 = 0
4. 3x² + x - 7 = 0
5. -12x² + 5x + 6 = 0
6. -6x² - 11x + 2 = 0
7. x² - 9x + 5 = 0
8. -7x² - 4x + 10 = 0
9. -9x² + 6x - 2 = 0
10. 10x² - 7x - 11 = 0
11. 12x² + x + 5 = 0
12. 2x² - 3x + 1 = 0
13. 11x² + 9x - 6 = 0
14. -10x² + 5x + 7 = 0
15. -5x² - 4x + 12 = 0
