Bank

X went to a bank and tendered a cheque for RS.200 and asked for ONLY the denominations of Rs.20 , Rs. 10 and Rs. 5. The cashier had enough of all these. In how many ways can the cashier disburse the amount tendered

Re: Bank

hi Srikantan

One way is 20 + 20 + 20 + … = 200

If you want to substitute some 10s and 5s into this, it's got  to be using 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 or 10 + 10, or 10 + 5 + 5

So you ought to be able to examine all the ways of doing that.
