Factoring in Algebra...

I'm not sure if this is the place to talk about this, but can please someone help me in the topic said above? It seems to be very hard...

When I meant I'm not sure, I mean that it could be placed in either this forum or in Exercises. But anyway, could someone give me an example and then I'll answer it? Thanks!
