rearranging equation

Hi all,

I needed some help to solve the following question, to make M the subject..

A = T(1 - M/U)

this is what I tried

-U(A/T - 1) = M

but when I plug in the M value back into the equation I don't get the value of A

Thanks

Re: rearranging equation

Hi dadon11;

You are probably making an error. If you replace M with  -U (A/T -1 ) in the right hand side of your first equation, you will get A.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
