Properties of Real Numbers...Part 1

I want to review some of the properties of real numbers.

Reflexive Property

A number always equals itself.

Say that n is a number. I can then say that n = n.
Can this apply to terms?

Say x + 4. Can I say that x + 4 = x + 4?

Symmetric Property

If a number x = a number y, I can then say that y = x.

Is the following true?

If x = a + b, and x = y, then y = a + b.

Yes?

Hi Bob.

1. Thank you.

2. I decided to go back a few chapters in the textbook. Section 3.6 was just over my head.

3. My new boss told me today that the site he has set up for me will not be ready until June 1.

A. More time with math.

B. Living off my savings continues.

It drags to be me....
