interatomic forces?

so i was making a chemistry simulator
i figured out that doing the interatomic force simulation would be way easier than doing bonds
but question is what are the forces?(cllearly not lorentz forces in between the valence electrons)

Re: interatomic forces?

lets see if i recollect my schooldays right:

short answer: you do bonding ;-)

long answer: the sharing of valence electrons allows both atoms to be in a lower energy state.
a quick search gave me this.
