Underlying logic

I have put the numbers from 1 to 10 in three groups. Tell me, on what basis have I grouped the numbers. I shall give you a clue, but I am not sure if that would be of any help

CLUE

(1,2,6,10)                                  RED

(4,5,9)                                      BLUE

(3,7,8)                                     GREEN

Character is who you are when no one is looking.

Good one ganesh! I was confused for a while.

(1,2,6,10)   DOT
(4,5,9)       LINE
(3,7,8)      SPACE

Don't rely too heavily on that clue, or you'll get very confused.
It's mainly to show ganesh that I know.

Why did the vector cross the road?

Don't you mean:

(4,5,9)       PLUS
(3,7,8)      TOTAL

{1,2,6,10} -> Wordlength = Wordlength("RED")
{4,5,9}      -> Wordlength = Wordlength("BLUE")
{3,7,8     } -> Wordlength = Wordlength("GREEN")
