Word Questions (Elementary)

I have a little flash thingy that gives some Elementary Word Questions with randomly chosen numbers, things and people.

Have a play with it and please let me know if it asks any stupid questions.

Suggestions welcome

Re: Word Questions (Elementary)

The first question I got began “If you see 1 blackbirds …”. If I were an English teacher, I would go berserk. roll

Re: Word Questions (Elementary)

I didn't get any wrong pluralisations, and one of the questions asked how many legs "one cat" and "two horses" had, so it seems to be more intelligent for me. Maybe MIF swooped in and changed it without telling anyone. smile

Nice page, although I think the hints should be a bit less cryptic.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: Word Questions (Elementary)

Thanks Jane and mathsy.

Jane: found the error, will fix.

mathsy: how could the hints be better?

Re: Word Questions (Elementary)

Mathsyperson, did you continue clicking on the clue button?  I think the hints are great idea from the programming side, and good from the user side, but the "Clue" button should become "Another Clue" once you click it.

Oh, I didn't realise there were multiple clues! In that case I take back everything I said.
(Except it's still a nice page)

Re: Word Questions (Elementary)

Ahh.. good point! I will think of a way of showing there are more clues available.

And then I just need a hundred more base questions smile
